The guesthouse

It is a 300 square meter former farm-house the oldest parts dates from 1830. It was appointed to wine-growing, mixed farming and stock-farming as it was formerly mostly the case in the region. You will find a relaxing and warm atmosphere for your week-ends or your holidays in any season.

The kitchen has been arranged with modern equipments in compliance with the house architecture. The 70 square meter barn has been fully renovated. With a height of more than 7 meters, it is partially covered by a mezzanine and a foot bridge; it owns a piano and a large chimney similar to those found in the castles of the region. On the West side, two large openings have been achieved with a view on the park while a big old wooden gate can be opened on the east side. The barn is directly connected with the kitchen.

On the ground floor, there is also a dining room for ten people, a sitting room with typical woodwork from Saint-Georges-sur-Cher in the 19th century, a large bedroom which was formerly that of the master of the house, two bathrooms : the first one with an Italian shower – including a washing machine and drying cupboard – and a second one with an old bath tub next to the bedroom.

The first floor includes a mezzanine sets up like a sitting-room, a foot bridge in glass, a large corridor made of a whitened wooden oak floor with 4 bedrooms having between 2 and 4 beds. These bedrooms have a reversed electric heating/ air conditioned system. Two bathrooms are from each side of the corridor with independent toilets. The first bathroom has got a shower and a ground in teak from Costa Rica and the second one with a bath tub and a baked clay ground, like the contiguous bedroom corresponding to the paving of the former grain storehouse.
